Oh geez…. I just decided the ONLY thing I like about my kids growing up is that I get to re-do their rooms every few years. 🙂 Well….I take that back, not having to change diapers anymore IS pretty sweet. 🙂

Seem like yesterday I was rocking my baby to sleep and laying her in this crib.

Now she has gone and started to grow-up on me!! (I’m having a mommy moment…)

Ruby’s room is very tiny. Some of the pictures may make it look large, but it is an ity-bity room. You can see some good before pictures and how I trimmed out her windows by clicking HERE

I had fun with a few simple DIY projects in this room. One of those was her crib skirt. You can look through that tutorial by clicking HERE

Other DIY projects were the bookcase, trimming out the windows, painting the ceiling a darker shade of mint green, the painting above the bed (pictured below), painting the dresser white, and the flower art above the dresser. I love some good DIY projects and I also love NOT doing them…HA! It was fun to shop for this room and incorporate a lot of handmade items into the room from people I admire on Instagram. Ruby told me the heart above her new bookcase is her favorite thing in the room. 🙂

When I decorate a room it is really important to me to fill that space with positive messages and personal touches.

 

We are both pretty happy about how it all turned out. 🙂
