Nutty Lynn's Crunchy Granola

Ingredients
  • 5 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup yellow raisins
  • ½ cup wheatgerm
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax-seed
  • 1½ cups of brown sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 5 teaspoons of vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon of salt.
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 275.
  2. Mix all of the following into a large bowl: rolled oats, chopped walnuts, slivered almonds, chopped pecans, sunflower seeds, yellow raisins, wheatgerm, ground flax-seed. Set the aside
  3. In a separate small glass bowl mix the following: brown sugar and water
  4. Place in microwave on high for 4-5 minutes. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Remove from microwave a mix in: vanilla and salt.
  5. Pour over dry ingredients. Mix until everything is covered with liquid. Then place a piece of tin foil on a large cookie sheet and spread granola over it evenly.
  6. Cook at 275 degrees for 45 minutes -1 hour. Leave on cookie sheet to cool, then store in an airtight container.
  7. Eat and Enjoy!
