Scarf Necklace

July 24, 2017 By Lynn Leave a Comment

This craft requires a trip to the thrift store to find scarfs.  This one was two dollars and had great colors!

This is another great craft for girls 8-14 years old. You will need two things to do this craft. The first thing you want to get is a scarf or a long strip of fabric about 2-3 feet long. The size depends on where you want the necklace to hit on your chest. If the scarf is really thick you will want to cut down the width also- 2-4 iches wide will work great depending on the thickness of your fabric.

The other thing you will need are some wood beads.

Slide your beads on to the fabric. If you are having a hard time getting the beads on the fabric a bobby pin can help push the fabric through the hole in the bead.

Tie a simple knot before and after each bead. 5 to 7  beads will look great on this necklace, but any number will work!

Tie a knot on the ends of the fabric and waa-laa necklace!

When were moved into our home the basement was not finished, but it was partially framed. One of those framed walls was a little funky. It did not line up with the other “walls” it would meet up with. I wasn’t sure how to make it work with the room behind it. At the same […]
