PomPom Heart Craft

January 27, 2016 By Lynn Leave a Comment

Do you love pompoms as much as I do?!! I could be the president of the pompom fan club…just saying. 🙂

Here is a fun and easy craft for your Valentine’s Day decorating needs.

PomPom Heart Craft from @pocketfulofpaint

You will need:

pompom makers from Clover

scissors

yarn

a wood board 11×11 inches

paint and brush

220 sand paper

glue gun

Paint your board and distress the edges just slightly. While it is drying you can start on your pompoms. Kids can make these too! Grab your kids and show them how to use a pompom maker. They will love it!

I use the clover pompom makers because they come out the same size each time and once you figure them out they are EASY! AND…kinda addicting.

For this project I used the extra small, small and medium sizes.  They are pink, yellow, and lime green. You can find these at Walmart and Joanne Fabric’s.

Making the pompoms will take the most time. Pick out a good movie or invite your favorite friend over to chat while you make them. 🙂

Once you have them all made, lay them out on your board. I use the little ones around the edge of the heart, then filled them in with the other sizes.

See how I made these spindles HERE. You can find these cute little metal stands at Walmart for about $1. I use those all the time around my house.

Go make some pompoms!!

When were moved into our home the basement was not finished, but it was partially framed. One of those framed walls was a little funky. It did not line up with the other “walls” it would meet up with. I wasn’t sure how to make it work with the room behind it. At the same […]
